Grumpy's Cafe is a cozy, family-run spot where the charm of grandpa’s living room meets the comfort of freshly brewed tea and homemade biscuits. Inspired by nostalgic visits to your grandparents' house, it offers a warm escape from everyday life. At its heart is Grumpy, the grumpy grandad whose playful grumblings add humor to the welcoming atmosphere, making Grumpy’s a uniquely homely place to relax and unwind.
MY ROLE
I designed the brand identity for Grumpy’s Cafe to reflect its warm, cozy, and inviting vibe. The neutral colour palette gives off a calming, vintage feel, while the playful illustration of Grumpy, the grumpy grandad, adds a fun, lighthearted touch. The branding is simple but effective, resonating with a diverse audience - whether they’re popping in for a quick coffee, catching up with a friend, or just looking for a comfy spot to kick back and recharge.
